The Turku Collection is a series of colourways inspired by historical and meaningful places in Turku.
Brinkkala is a mansion that dates back to the 16th century and it has had several functions through history, one of them as town hall after the devastating fire in 1827. Nowadays the Brinkkala Mansion is known all over the country as the house from which Christmas peace is declared every Christmas Eve.
Koroinen is the place by the Aura River where the residence of Bishop of Finland was situated until 1300.
Unikankare is the mound where Turku Cathedral was built by the end of the 13th century and it was consecrated in 1300.
Samppalinna is one of the hills surrounding Turku city centre and it is known for its wonderful park and outdoors swimming pool, not to mention the windmill built in the 1860s.
Saaronniemi is the newest member of the Turku collection. This colourway got its inspiration from the beach and the sea views at Saarinniemi on Ruissalo island.
Merino Sock is a beautiful 4-ply sock yarn suitable for various kinds of projects. This yarn turns into the most beautiful socks and the nylon addition makes it durable for this kind of project. Merino Sock has a nice twist and knits up into elegantly draping and quite light sweaters and cardigans. Both cables and lace show off nicely in the knitted fabric.
