Raising prices
I hope you are all doing fine in this unsettled world of ours. I have spent four weeks concentrating only on yarn and knitting and it has been good for my soul. In troubled times I find it a relief and comfort to turn to my knitting and knit away from the turmoil. I find peace in the clicking of my needles and joy in seeing how every knitted stitch turns into a wearable work of art.
Unfortunately there will be a raise in prices due to raised costs effective from 1.7.2020. Until then there is still time to shop for yarns at current prices. Now is a good time to prepare for coming projects and fill up your stash before the raise.
Here in Finland we are having a heat wave and thoughts about winter and cold weather could not be further away. But don't worry, winter will be here again some day. And you know what they say: plan well and half the job is done! I have started up numerous projects and I am actually thinking about making a list for Christmas projects, since I'm usually so busy that I realise the Holidays are approaching in about a week...
On my project list this week is casting on Veera Välimäki's Lady Fisher sweater in which I will be using my Astra base. Second in line is casting on for the Longline Cardigan by Joji Locatelli in Merino Sock - it will be a staple in my wardrobe for sure. And I am also thinking about starting Joji's Together sweater, it looks fantastic! Let's not talk about all the socks that need to be finished... Oh, and I did buy the pattern for Weekender light! I am looking forward to casting that on too. I am looking forward to a busy knitting summer for sure.
Yours,
Anki
